I want to get my colt to stand sqaure and am finding it hard to do myself - Does anyone have any suggestions on the best person to send him to that will give him a great foundation for western halter?

We prep and train our own. And often do it for clients as well. We will also show your horse for you. Where are you located.

There are not that many top trainers for halter here in Qld.   It is not something that is hard to do!   Really it is practice, practice, practice.

I have 5 paints here at the moment and all 5 of them stand square on command.   It was just practice that got them to that.   The easiest thing to do is set their back feet first, and then work on the front.   In the paint ring, people actually pick their horses feet up and place them in the right place.

I think there are many good trainers around, you just need to look for one that thinks along the same line as you in training methods.

We show and train Arabian Derivatives, Welsh, Riding Ponies + more,  the style of training and showing each breed is slightly different and it can vary from horse to horse , you need to bring out the good points in the individual animal and disguise the bad points.

As a judge is is amazing how many horses end up down the line because the handle has not stood the horse up well ( legs at odd angles ect ) or run it out well.
